About Client
Project Challenge
For the “Jurassic 2.0” promo, the Bookshelf team returned with a bold new idea: a suspenseful follow-up to their first dino-themed animation. This time, we reimagined another iconic moment from the 1993 Jurassic Park film—only now, our three characters are trapped in a much riskier situation. Enter the Allosaurus, a not-so-friendly predator from Bookshelf’s expanding dinosaur universe.
As always, we began with a storyboard to map out the scene’s tension, character placements, and cinematic pacing. In the blocking stage, we built the 3D environment and choreographed every movement—from the predator’s approach to the characters’ desperate attempts to escape. Then came stylizing, where we leaned into dramatic lighting and detailed textures to heighten the intensity. After rendering and post-production, we ended up with a bite-sized thriller: a high-stakes chase that still fits within the playful, imaginative tone of Bookshelf’s growing world.
Project Solution
With “Jurassic 2.0,” the goal was to raise the stakes while keeping the animation fun and story-driven. The idea was to create a suspenseful moment inspired by a classic Jurassic Park scene—this time featuring Bookshelf’s Allosaurus and a close-call escape scenario. We wanted to explore a slightly darker, more dramatic tone without losing the playful essence of the Bookshelf universe. By mixing cinematic tension with stylized animation, the piece gives viewers a thrilling glimpse into the evolving “Dino Mike” storyline and the creative flexibility of Bookshelf’s promo world.

who is & why ubunzo
Ubunzo is a 3D design studio built for teams that want results without the overhead. We're not a big agency with layers of managers and vague timelines. We're a tight team of designers, animators, and developers who care about doing good work—and doing it right.
Our clients include startups, B2B brands, e-comm, and tech companies that need strong visuals to pitch, launch, or grow. Some come for a single motion video. Others use our subscription like an in-house team—minus the hiring.
What sets us apart is how we work: clear communication, no fluff, and zero ghosting. We listen, we build, we deliver.
Our team is remote—spread from Alberta to Europe to Southeast Asia—so we stay nimble, cost-efficient, and fast. No office drama, no wasted time. Just a clean pipeline and solid results.
Launching your first product or your fiftieth? We’ll help you make it look great and work hard. That’s Ubunzo.
