Ubunzo is a cutting-edge design agency that is much more than just a purveyor of visual aesthetics; it's a symphony of creativity and technology. With specialties ranging from 3D and 2D motion design to web design, branding, and illustrations, Ubunzo creates experiential narratives that captivate and engage.

Project Details

During the redesign, one of our main challenges was finding the perfect balance between providing informative content and ensuring it didn't become overwhelming. Our goal was to educate our users without bombarding them with too much information.

In addition to the user-friendly layout, we've incorporated eye-catching 2D and 3D graphics, including mesmerizing motion graphics. These unique visuals have been carefully crafted to deliver a visually captivating experience for all our visitors. We hope you'll like it!

Branding

Logo Concept

At the heart of our project, we embraced the idea of transparency, making sure our clients could witness and comprehend every step of our design studio’s creative process. This concept inspired our logo and the entire endeavor, resulting in the captivating theme of ”See through design”.

To represent this vision, we carefully selected an eye-shaped logo, symbolizing the ability to see and understand the design processes. The logo was crafted using the elegant and lowercase DAHLIA typeface, adding a touch of sophistication to our brand identity.

Reference

When crafting our logo, we took inspiration from various designs but aimed to depart from a mechanical or technical appearance. Instead, we focused on creating a fluid and dynamic design that harmoniously aligns with the essence of our studio’s name. The result is a logo that truly embodies the spirit and creativity of our brand.

Colors

The project uses these following colors. Primary and secondary colors — Black & White. And accent color — Orange Red for contrast.

Typography

Dahlia typeface grew from a land filled with elegance, 1910’s Italian lake posters and Art Nouveau feeling. Like so many flowers, it translates a sense of perfect balance between eccentricity and delicacy. It was designed in 2021 by Jérémy Schneider for VJ Type. Dahlia typeface is a display serif typeface, useful for headlines or short to medium-length texts.

Sporting Grotesque is an open-source sans-serif typeface designed by Lucas Le Bihan in 2016. The design features wide proportions, tight counters and wonky, off-kilter letterforms. The family is available in two weights—regular and bold—but doesn’t include italics.

Motion Design

The motion design on our website is all about crafting a vibrant and captivating user experience that beautifully reflects the unique style of ubunzo. To achieve this, we incorporated an array of cool media content that truly captures the essence of our brand. One of the most noteworthy highlights is a special punk aesthetic clip, exclusively created for our main page. This clip not only adds a touch of edginess and visual brilliance to the page, but it also serves as an attention-grabbing introduction to our brand. It’s an exciting feature that instantly immerses visitors into our world and leaves a lasting impression.

Inspiration

Our journey began with defining our unique identity and discovering who we truly are. Once we solidified our feelings and envisioned our desired aesthetic, a captivating world of «Ubunzo» came to life.
